As the current president of the Queensland Police Legacy Scheme, I am deeply committed to supporting the families of our brave Queensland Police Officers who have tragically lost their lives or are facing insurmountable challenges. This cause is a personal mission that resonates profoundly with me.

This year, my son Connor and I will be participating in Run Army, aiming to raise $2,000 for the Queensland Police Legacy Scheme. Queensland Police Legacy provides essential assistance to the eligible dependent families of deceased Queensland Police Officers, officers whose spouses have passed away, and families where a parent is suffering from a terminal illness. Our primary focus is to ensure that the dependent children of these families receive the education and support they deserve, honouring the aspirations their parents held for them.

Currently, Queensland Police Legacy Scheme are supporting 58 Queensland Police families and covering the educational expenses of 94 dependent legatee children. Over the past 53 years, Queensland Police Legacy have supported 284 families and 506 legatee children, striving to alleviate the burdens they face during unimaginably difficult times.

The funds raised from fundraising events like run Army are vital in sustaining our programs and activities. Your generous contribution will directly impact the lives of these families, providing them with the support they need to navigate their futures.
